TREND 1.3 is rolling out on the Google Play Store now. It's the biggest update to the app since launch, and it goes deeper on the areas people ask about most: what's actually inside their portfolio, how the options market is positioned, and where the next Indian listing is coming from.
Portfolio analysis
The portfolio tab has always told you what your holdings are worth. It now tells you how they're behaving.
Open Portfolio → ⋮ → Risk analysis and you get three views over the same book:
- Forecast: a Monte Carlo projection rendered as a P10 to P90 band, with 3M, 6M and 1Y bull, base and bear scenarios marked out. Ask for an AI brief and it reads your actual allocation and history, then writes a plain-English summary of where the book is exposed.
- Risk: annualised return and volatility, max drawdown as a rolling chart, Sharpe, Sortino and Calmar ratios, win rate, best/worst day, historical VaR and CVaR, and beta measured against the S&P 500 and NIFTY. A concentration panel flags how much rests on your largest positions, and a what-if slider shows the effect of a ±20% market shock.
- Attribution: how much of your return each holding actually contributed, sector weight and P&L, and a correlation matrix so you can see which positions move together and which genuinely diversify.
Everything routes through the same account as the web app, so the numbers match wherever you look at them.
Options open interest for US stocks
TrendMoney has shown an NSE option chain for Indian stocks for a while. That data now exists for US names too.
Open any US stock's detail view and expand Options / Open Interest to get the live chain: an expiry picker across standard and weekly expiries, the put/call ratio, the Max Pain strike, and the top strikes ranked by combined open interest so you can see where positioning is concentrated. A Get AI Sentiment Read button turns that into a plain-English read of what the positioning implies (bullish, bearish or neutral) on demand, rather than generating a paragraph every time you open a stock.
We wrote a full walkthrough of this one, including how to read PCR and Max Pain without misreading them, in US Options Open Interest, Put/Call Ratio and Max Pain.
New IPO section for Indian stocks
Indian listings now have their own home. The Indian Stocks page carries an IPO section built from the NSE calendar, split into Live, Upcoming and Recently Listed tabs, with a date filter and paging so you can scan further out than this week. Each listing shows its offer price or price band, issue size and subscription window, and recently listed names show their return since the offer.
Heatmap, now up to a year
The market heatmap has always been good for a quick read of what's moving today. It now covers a full year.
The window picker runs 1H, 24H, 7D, 30D, 3M and 1Y, so you can see intraday rotation and long-run leadership from the same view. The map still tiles sectors first and lets you drill into the stocks inside one, and a breadth strip above it breaks the market down into gainers, flat and losers for the window you've selected.
Fixes and stability
Alongside the features, 1.3 carries a round of bug fixes and stability improvements across the app: smoother loading, fewer empty states, and general polish.
How to update
If you have automatic updates on, 1.3 will arrive on its own. To get it now, open the Play Store listing and tap Update.
Markets, news and the monitors work signed out. Portfolio, watchlist, options open interest and the rest of the deeper analysis need an account, the same one that works on the web app.
Portfolio analytics, options positioning and IPO listings are decision-support tools, not financial advice. Nothing here recommends a trade or a price target.
