Setting Up Price, 52-Week and Earnings Alerts

By TrendMoney Team

2 min read

TrendMoney can notify you when a stock crosses a price level, hits a 52-week high or low, or when a company you follow reports earnings — without you needing to keep the dashboard open.

Setting a price alert

  1. Open a stock's detail page (from Markets, a watchlist, or search).
  2. Tap Set Alert, choose a target price and direction (above/below).
  3. That's it — alerts are evaluated server-side every few minutes during market hours, so you don't need the app open or your phone unlocked.

Alerts have a cooldown (4 hours for price alerts, 24 hours for 52-week alerts) so a stock oscillating around your target doesn't spam you. One-shot alerts disable themselves once triggered; re-arm them from the Alerts tab.

52-week high/low alerts

Instead of a fixed price, a 52-week alert fires the first time a stock breaks its trailing 52-week high or low — useful for breakout or breakdown watching without picking an exact level yourself.

What you don't need to set up manually

A few notification types run automatically once you have a watchlist or portfolio and push notifications enabled:

Delivery

Alerts are delivered via Web Push on the site and via the native Android app. You can tune categories and quiet hours from Settings → Notifications — quiet hours don't suppress price alerts, since those are the ones you explicitly armed.

Run into an alert that didn't fire when you expected? Tell us and include the symbol and rough time — it helps us check the evaluation window.
